July 15, 2020: This year I decided to do something different for our annual family vacation - I hosted a painting class for anyone interested! All of my family ended up participating to create a painting, and the feedback was great. Everyone had fun and now will have a souvenir from our vacation. It was a new experience for each of my family members. I taught them some basic techniques of paint pouring and guided them in creating their own painting while leaving the creative decisions to each participant. The final products were wonderfully unique and looked great! Best of all, it was a fun bonding experience that was fun for all. I've already gotten requests to do another class next vacation! It was fun for me to share something I enjoy with others and let them see that art is accessible for everyone no matter the background or experience.
